Get ready for Milan Furniture Design Week 2025

Milan Salone del Mobile 2025 will take place from April 7–13, 2025 in Milan, Italy. The week will include the Salone del Mobile furniture fair, Fuorisalone, and other events. The theme for 2025 is "Thought for Humans". Taking place during the Salone del Mobile, Milan Design Week fills the city with showroom parties, exhibitions, installations, and more. The main design districts in Milan include the Brera Design District, Durini Design District, Porta Venezia Design District, Sarpi Design District, Tortona, and the Isola Design Festival. The fair is open to architects, press, design buyers, and other professionals. Visitors can register in advance through the Salone del Mobile website for an e-ticket. On Friday, September 10, the fair will also be accessible to the general public, with tickets available for purchase online. Opening hours are Sunday to Thursday from 10 AM to 7 PM, and Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Once you've fully immersed yourself in the furniture world at the fairgrounds, take a stroll through the city. Fuorisalone showcases the latest contemporary design throughout the central neighborhoods. This is the most exciting time to be in Milan: historical palazzos open their eclectic interiors to the work of emerging design talent, showrooms present the latest launches, and everywhere you turn, there’s a sense of discovery and exciting encounters. Fuorisalone offers a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the best Italian furniture showrooms, many of which are conveniently located in a small area within the city center. Head to Via Durini to visit Cassina, B&B Italia, Porro, Technogym, Gallotti & Radice, and Natuzzi. Then, make your way to nearby Corso Monforte to explore Flos, Artemide, Danese, Nemo, De Padova, and Living Divani.

Where to stay in Milan during the Salone dei Mobili

Armani Hotel Milan

Located in the heart of the upscale Quadrilatero della Moda shopping area, the Armani Hotel Milano features a Rationalist-style design by Enrico A. Griffini, completed in 1937. The hotel rises nine stories, with the top three levels showcasing semi-reflective glass. It offers 95 rooms, each remarkable for their luxurious furnishings and sophisticated materials, including marbled ceilings and dark beechwood parquet floors, along with natural stone cladding in the bathrooms. The walls are adorned with silk-effect technical textiles and bronze metal profiles, while the black granite floors and double-height curtains enhance the overall design. Staying at this hotel means embracing the "Stay with Armani" philosophy, ensuring a level of comfort typically found only at home.

Portrait Milano Hotel

The Portrait Milano Hotel is one of the most captivating places in the Quadrilatero area, thanks to the renovation project led by architect Michele De Lucchi and his firm, AMDL CIRCLE. The hotel features 73 guest rooms, inspired by the Milanese drawing rooms of the 1950s, characterized by the use of national blond walnut and Oriental-inspired details. The wall paneling, or boiserie, is complemented by exquisite Florentine craftsmanship, including leather and bronzed brass handles on the entrance, wardrobe, and sliding doors. The flooring is made of natural larch, while some bathrooms showcase Carrara marble, and others feature a blend of Red Porphyry and Breccia Medicea.

Hotel Viu Milan

Hotel Viu Milan, a striking tower of greenery with an impressive rooftop, is known for its award-winning chef and exceptional design, attracting the city’s creative community and influential figures. The hotel features parquet oak wood floors and dark wood accents, which beautifully contrast with light-colored fabrics, showcasing its timeless design. The furniture is crafted by Molteni, ensuring a sophisticated aesthetic.  Many bathrooms include a sliding wall made from walnut, durmast, and rosewood, creating a geometric tapestry of natural tones that is enhanced by light pouring in from the floor-to-ceiling windows found in every room. The hotel's restaurant, named after the chef Morelli, showcases his dynamic energy and artistic approach, offering eclectic and signature gourmet Milanese dishes. Morelli also designs the international cuisine served at the property’s Bulk Mixology Food Bar and the Rooftop Terrace Bar.
