Two new openings of famous Panini Shops in Milan: a second shop in Milan for Panini Con Mollica o Senza at Piazza Diaz, in the trendy Nolo district of Milan. The other one is Pepèn, the legendary sandwich shop from Parma, which opened a store in the Porta Venezia neighbourhood of Milan. Enjoy!
Con Mollica o Senza
The duo, Donato De Caprio and Steven Basalari, renowned figures on social media and proprietors of the chain "Panini Con Mollica o Senza?", initially made their mark with the opening and subsequent video of their first store in Naples. This was followed by the inauguration of a location in Milan at Piazza Diaz. Recently, they have announced the launch of a second outlet in Milan, situated in the fashionable NoLo neighbourhood.. Nolo is a district of Milan located in the Zone 2 of the city, in the northeast area. This trendy district is known for its eclectic mix of vintage shops, contemporary fashion boutiques, and artisan markets.
Says Donato DeCaprio: "The journey began at a small local delicatessen where I prepared sandwiches daily. It was a profession I was passionate about, though I never anticipated that what started as a simple interest would transform my life. During my breaks, I began recording videos on TikTok, capturing genuine and engaging moments. What initially started as a casual pastime soon evolved into a significant endeavour. My videos began circulating rapidly, attracting attention and building a community of dedicated followers. The delicatessen, once a modest neighbourhood shop, transformed into a gathering place for individuals seeking to meet me or take a photograph. This period was surreal, as my regular occupation became interwoven with an unanticipated rise in popularity, prompting me to aspire for more significant achievements."
Pepèn, the historic sandwich shop from Parma, also opens in Milan.
Pepèn, the legendary sandwich shop from Parma, is about to open a new chapter in Milan. Known as a gastronomic mecca for locals and tourists for over 70 years, it has become a popular pit stop for many off-campus students seeking delicious food at affordable prices. This institution is always bustling, where patrons tolerate a bit of chaos, limited seating, and varying wait times—all while enjoying a delightful meatball with mayonnaise or a canapé topped with "pesto horse."
Now, this historic venue is set to make its long-awaited debut in one of Milan's liveliest neighborhoods, Porta Venezia. The opening of Pepèn Milano is scheduled for October and has already generated a great deal of excitement.
