Harmony in Pink Campaign across Italy

October is known as the "pink" month, as it is dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer, as well as cervical and colorectal cancer. The main goal is to educate women about the importance of research and prevention in order to make these diseases more treatable. Many initiatives support the "Pink Ribbon" campaign, symbolized by the pink ribbon, which was created in 1992 in the United States by Evelyn Lauder, a breast cancer survivor. In Italy, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women (30%), and 1 in 8 women has the possibility of developing breast cancer during her lifetime. This highlights the importance of early diagnosis and the need to adopt healthy lifestyles to protect our health.

Several local branches of the LILT-Italian League for the Fight against Cancer and BWH Hotels Italia & Malta have launched the "Harmony in Pink" project. The project will start in Bologna and will make stops in Pordenone (BW Plus Park Hotel) on October 7, Rome (BW Plus Hotel Universo) on October 14, and Milan with two dates: October 21 (BW Hotel Madison) and October 28 (Worldhotel Cristoforo Colombo). The events will feature talks by local LILT branches, experts, and researchers discussing the importance of prevention. Additionally, style coach Chiara Sicignano will conduct style and armochromia workshops to celebrate the uniqueness of every woman.

Primark is leading the way with targeted projects through its new awareness campaign titled "We are with you." The company will donate over 1 million euros to non-profit organizations that support research and services for women affected by breast cancer, with 75,000 euros allocated to the AIRC Foundation in Italy. The collection, available in all Primark stores worldwide, includes 37 products divided into two ranges: one for post-operative care specifically designed for women affected by breast cancer, and a limited edition solidarity range for anyone wishing to support the cause. Coccinelle is currently supporting the AIRC Foundation for cancer research by donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the Coccinelle Beat Soft Mini bag in Rosewood, Brandy, Grenadine Red, Rosette, and Noir colors. This initiative aims to fund a project for the treatment of breast cancer. The bag comes with a leather ribbon bearing the motto "Coccinelle For Women" and serves as a symbol of solidarity. This support will continue until October 19th.
