The new Fendi Fall Collection - Roman Influences

Transparent tulle and organza are embellished with prints of Cloaked Female Statue and Colossal Head of a Goddess courtesy of Galleria Borghese and Immaculate Conception courtesy of Chiesa di San Luigi dei Francesi, Pii Stabilimenti della Francia a Roma e a Loreto. For the FENDI Fall 2024 ad campaign, traditional British style meets subversion and combines with its Roman counterpart. In the latest collection, Kim Jones, Fendi's Creative Director explores an effortless way of dressing that blends London nonchalance with Roman freedom. The collection focuses on luxurious comfort and confident clothing and accessories that allow the wearer to express themselves. It embodies a sense of duality - a characteristic of Fendi.  The collection begins with tailored pieces that embrace feminine sensibility and sinuous lines in a more rounded silhouette, using precise, rich, compact wools.

Layered wool coats are casually tied and belted, borrowing from the style of robes. Utilitarian dresses convey a practical yet elegant toughness in attitude, featuring tulle and organza transparencies, printed with Roman statuary or embroidered with disruptive dots. Additionally, shearlings and leathers showcase Fendi’s artisanal skills and subvert traditional expectations.

In the bag designs by Silvia Venturini Fendi, past styles are deconstructed and refreshed, with a focus on softness and utility. Sumptuous leathers in rich, natural colours dominate new versions of Peekaboo, Baguette, and By The Way bags. The collection also introduces the new Simply Fendi, a soft satchel, accompanied by the Roll bag, a new rounded shopper. Archival influences from 1984, Rome and London, sumptuous materials, playful touches. Explore the collection from Kim Jones, Silvia Venturini Fendi, and Delfina Delettrez Fendi.
