Bologna is always worth a trip; but this week-end especially as it is where the second edition of the Slow Wine Fair is happening - with the theme of "The future of wine is good, clean and fair”. The fair starts on Sunday 26 February organized by BolognaFiere and SANA, the International Organic and Natural Exhibition, with the artistic direction of Slow Food. And the number of exhibitors says it all, which grew by over 50% compared to last year: 750 wineries (all selected by a national and international tasting commission), half of which certified organic, biodynamic or in conversion, from all regions and from 21 countries on five continents, and over 3,000 labels await a public of enthusiasts, buyers and professionals for tasting, who will have the opportunity to discover wines that are the result of sustainable agriculture, whose watchwords are biodiversity, protection of the agricultural landscape, thoughtful use of its resources, cultural and social growth of peasant communities, as well as an ever-increasing awareness of consumers.
