Bologna (which is the province with the best quality of life in 2022 - Emilia- Romagna) can boast a good fifth place among the most educated cities in Italy, with a total score of 5.87. Its inhabitants are among the most respectful of personal space and have a warm demeanour towards others. Although Italy is wonderful from north to south, there are cities where life is undoubtedly better than others: from security to the proper functioning of city institutions, there are many factors to take into consideration. And what can we say about the rude behaviour of the inhabitants? These too have a large role in improving – or considerably worsening – the quality of life in a single locality. This is revealed by Preply, global language learning platform, who have drawn up a curious ranking concerning the most widespread good habits and the rudest behaviour of citizens. On a scale of 1 to 10 (where 10 is the maximum level of rudeness), the experts gave each of the 19 Italian cities taken into consideration a score on 12 different behaviours, such as being particularly noisy in public and displaying rudeness towards service personnel. What emerged is a particularly bizarre picture of the most virtuous realities in Italy.
According to the ranking drawn up by Preply, among the 10 worst educated cities are 7 in northern Italy: in most cases, these are places where living spaces are reduced to a minimum and traffic is a real problem. The rudest was found to be Venice, where the worst behaviours identified, include skipping the line and not respecting other people's spaces. The Italian cities with the most well-behaved scores include Padua on first place, followed by Florence, Modena and Verona.
