At Milan Fashion Week 2022 Patricia Urquiola unveiled Habito, her Fall Winter 2022/23 Signature Collection for Italian fashion brand Weekend Max Mara. Presented at the showrooms of cc-tapis who she had designed rugs for, a collection of shirts, coats, quilted jackets, blouses and sweaters in eye-catching color combinations, gradient effects and textures and of oversized silhouettes were displayed. Co-creating a this collection with Weekend Max Mara, Patricia Urquiola applied a personal reinterpretation of existing Weekend Max Mara silhouettes, primarily in cocoon-shapes that bond traditional wools and ribbed knits with technical nylon, creating matte, shiny and reflective effects.
Also reinterpreted - the iconic Weekend Max Mara’s Pasticcino Bag with two fabrics. Usually Max Mara presents its collections in its own Milanese showroom; this time Urquiola chose the headquarters of rug manufacturer CC-Tapis. Given the opportunity to see the entire environment of the collection among coordinated interior. This is the first clothing collection she Urquiola has created. Max Mara partners with international creatives for each season of its Max Mara Weekend collection morphing its label's heritage with a new creative input.
