A recent private charity event organized by the multi-brand luxury e-tailer LuisaViaRoma with Unicef on the island of Capri was extremely successful in terms of contributions of up to $8 million. Chairman Andrea Panconesi from LuisaViaRoma said “... the truth is that it’s difficult to compete with Capri. It’s the quintessence of the Italian style and we want to represent the best of Italy in the world.”Great success also for Jennifer Lopez's concert (dressed in Roberto Cavalli) which took place at the Certosa di San Giacomo, as part of the charity event. She stayed at the Tiberio Palace hotel. The concert performance was preceded by a charity event dinner event with a cost of the tables (from 12) from 75,000 to 250,000 euros and by the charity auction attended by about 950 guests including the brother-in-law Casey Affleck, Jamie Foxx , Spike Lee, Jared Leto and Maye Musk, Elon Musk's mom. An exceptional menu of Italian cuisine was served including pastry from the famous pasticceria Piano di Sorrento from the historic “Casa del Dolce”.
Also Italian fashion executives couldn’t miss the soirée either — Gucci’s president and chief executive officer Marco Bizzarri, Moncler’s chairman and chief executive officer Remo Ruffini, and Tod’s chairman Diego Della Valle were seen at the event. Many other celebrities attended the charity dinner including hosted by Jamie Foxx and attended by other celebs including Leonardo DiCaprio, Casey Affleck, Spike Lee, Haim, Naomi Campbell, Jared Leto, Ansel Elgort and Vanessa Hudgens, and many more.
