The famous Italian design Molteni Group always innovates and brings the finest Italian furniture to the market. There is no doubt that Molteni globally represents the Italian culture with the highest quality since 1934. It is still a family-owned business, under the leadership of Giulia Molteni who has been destined to have an eye for contemporary design. Her grandfather Angelo Molteni founded the furniture company MOLTENI&C in 1934, with a focus on reproducing classical forms. In 1951, however, Angelo started shifting his firm toward MODERN DESIGN and over the next two decades became, along with his wife, Giuseppina, a key figure in a thriving Italian design industry, helping to found the inaugural Salone del Mobile fair, in 1961. It's initial furniture pieces are now highly coveted by collectors. Angelo had the ability to identify leading design talent, working with architects and designers from around Europe. Regardless of the partnering designers, the furniture was always produced in Italy - “Made in Italy.” Hence, Molteni&C created an aura around the phrase "Made in Italy", which came to represent both quality and style.
The Molteni Group consists of three companies, each one at the forefront of its sector: Molteni&C SpA (home furnishings and Dada kitchens), Unifor SpA (office furnishings) and Citterio SpA (office furnishings and partitions). Molteni offers global furnishing in Italy and in over eighty countries all over the world.
