Empathy is in fashion. Valentino launches a campaign and donates € 1 million for the fight against Covid-19 #Valentinoempathy wanted and designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, creative director of the maison, has world-renowned artists in the cast. The money will be donated to the Lazzaro Spallanzani hospital in Rome. In a time that has been disrupting the fashion industry, its communication and PR has to reconsider and reframe messaging, not only to focus on inclusion but also sharing.
From this reasoning the #Valentinoempathy campaign was born and directed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, creative director of the Valentino house. The cast currently includes a group of world-renowned artists, models, friends of the Maison: Adut Akech, Anwar Hadid, Christy Turlington, Ellery Walker Harper, Ghali, James Turlington, Janet Mock, Laetitia Casta, Laura Dern, Leon Dame , Liu Wen, Mariacarla Boscono, Mustafa the Poet, Naomi Campbell, Rafferty Law, Rossy de Palma, Rula Jebreal, Tali Lennox, Tang Yan and Vittoria Ceretti.
The photos will be taken in the places where the artists are experiencing this period of isolation, wearing a look from the Autumn / Winter 2020-21 collection, the result will be a new and different seasonal advertisement: a collection of portraits.
All the protagonists have chosen to participate in this project by donating their presence. Valentino will donate one million euros to the Lazzaro Spallanzani hospital in Rome, the Italian hub for the fight against COVID-19. The Maison will contribute with the donation to the Roman hospital, for the development of medium and long-term projects in the different phases of the pandemic.
